Villahousuista asiaa - about woollen pants

Muutama ystäväni IRL on kysellyt miten olen kutonut nämä aiemmin jo esitellyt villahousut. Ajattelin sitten laittaa tarkemman ohjeen.

Couple of friends IRL have asked how I made these pants that I have already shown earlier, so I thought of giving more detailed instructions.

Ohje on erittäin yksinkertainen ja sopii takuulla vaikka ihan aloittelijalle.

Koko: yksi koko joka sopii n. 0-3 vuotiaille (vyötärönympärys n. 50 cm)

Lanka: haluamasi lanka, itse käytin pesunkestävää villaa, puikkosuositus 3,5-4

Luo n. 112 silmukkaa ja kudo pyöröneuletta. Jos haluat kuminauhakujan, kudo ensin reilun sentin verran oikeaa neuletta, sitten yksi kierros nurin ja taas reilu sentti oikeaa. Aloita joustinneule, esimerkiksi 1o, 1n kunnes vyötäröosa on haluamasi korkuinen (mallissa n. 25 cm).

Jätä n. 1 cm avoimeksi jotta saat pujotettua kuminauhan. Kudottaessa lahkeet kahtena putkena haaroihin jää aukko joka kursitaan lopuksi umpeen.

This is a very simple model, fit for beginners.

Size: one size, fits to children between 0-3 years (the waist is c. 50 cm)

Yarn: whatever you like, I used machine washable wool with recommended needles 3,5-4.

Cast on c. 112 loops and knit circular knitting. For a elastic band knit some 1 cm, then purl one round and knit some one cm again. Continue with ribbing e.g. knit one, purl one until the top of the pants is sufficiently long (I did c. 25 cm). Divide the stitches in two and continue knitting the legs as two separate tubes until they are sufficiently long. You can make them shorter to begin with (I did some 20 cm to begin with) and knit them longer after the child grows (I added c. 10 cm) or make them long to begin with and just turn them.

Turn the first centimeter to the wrong and sew but leave 1 cm open to put in the elastic band. When the legs are knitted as separate tubes there is an open space between the legs that is sewn in the end.
